Score Errors Preferences in Guitar Pro 8

Guitar Pro simplifies score creation by automatically detecting notation errors, much like a spell-checker in a word processing program. This tab allows you to customize how these errors are displayed, highlighted in red within the score for quick correction.

Types of Errors Detected

You can enable or disable the detection of the following errors based on your needs:

  • Note out of range: A note falls outside the playable range of the instrument.
  • Invalid tuplets: Tuplets (triplets, quintuplets, etc.) do not comply with rhythmic rules.
  • Invalid HoPo: Hammer-ons or pull-offs are incorrect or impossible to perform.
  • Invalid bar duration: The total duration of a bar does not match its time signature.
  • Unreachable bar when playing: A bar is inaccessible during playback due to jumps or loops.

Applying Settings

Changes to these preferences take effect immediately, without requiring confirmation.
