User Information Preferences in Guitar Pro 8

The User Information Preferences allow you to set default details for your scores, such as the artist or copyright information. By filling in these fields, every new file created in Guitar Pro will automatically include these details, saving you time during initial setup.

Customizable Fields

You can prefill the following fields to appear in every new score:

• Artist: Name of the artist or band associated with the score.
• Words: Name of the lyricist, if applicable.
• Music: Name of the composer of the music.
• Copyright: Information about the score’s copyright.
• Transcriber: Name of the person who transcribed the score.
• Instructions: Specific remarks or guidelines for performance.

These details are stored in the score’s metadata, accessible via the file’s properties.

Applying Settings

Changes to these preferences take effect immediately, without requiring confirmation.
