Berried Alive

Berried Alive’s began in 2012. Since then, the project, spearheaded by Charles Caswell and his wife Kaylie Caswell, has prolifically released records and singles. To date, the Berried Alive catalog spans 8 studio albums, each paired with an instrumental compendium, and over 50 singles.

The music is best described as EDM-pop with elements of trap, hard rock, metal, hip-hop, and avant-garde. Charles Caswell uses iconic 7-string guitars from Legator Guitars, along with Bareknuckle Pickups and Iron Age Accessories for their signature killswitches, which contribute to the distinctive “glitchy” sound. Influenced by artists like Tom Morello and Buckethead, Charles incorporates innovative techniques into his music.

Kaylie Caswell contributes with basslines, lyrics, and clothing design, creating a distinctive visual aesthetic that complements their sound. Their vibrant and playful merchandising, featuring fruit-themed designs, has become a significant part of their brand.

Berried Alive songs have also attracted fan-shares by such notable modern icons as Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, and the virtuoso legend himself, Joe Satriani. The duo has built a self-sustaining brand all achieved without traditional label support.
