The free new release 6.1 is a major software update that allows you to get access to the music score portal mySongBook directly from Guitar Pro 6. Some of the internal structure of the program has required some adjusting for this new feature to be added.

As a consequence, the updating process for Guitar Pro 6.1 has also been adapted. Here below are the steps you need to follow to install it:

Launch the Updater utility
On Windows, click on the menu "Help", then "Launch Updater"
Only one update will be proposed to you: installing it is an essential preliminary step before you can install version 6.1 of Guitar Pro. Once that update is installed, and if the program has not automatically re-launched, do restart it to go on.

Launch the Updater again, as shown above
This time, you cannot de-select the items to install. This is simply another step required for Guitar Pro to update and include access to the mySongBook portal.
The installation is complete. Discover the music score portal in the top right-hand corner of your Guitar Pro 6 screen. We wish you much satisfaction with mySongBook!
